ICUs are the hospital units that provide the most advanced critical care, whereas high-dependency care units (HDUs) are the hospital units in which patient care levels and costs are between the levels found in the ICU and general ward
Intensive Care Units (ICU) and High Dependency Units (HDU) are specialist wards providing intensive care (treatment and monitoring) for people who are in a critically ill or unstable condition.
All our Intensive Care Units, High Dependency Units and Post-Operative Recovery rooms are well-equipped and closely supervised with stringent infection control and isolation protocols.
The following facilities that are being provided are as follows:
- All the beds are connected with 6 channel bedside monitors
- A central monitoring system is always connected with all the beds which contains multi-parameter recording facilities
- Invasive (most advanced ventilator with advanced modalities) and non-invasive ventilator facilities round the clock for every patient
- In house facilities for haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and plasmapheresis
- Advanced haemodynamic monitoring system (PICO)
- Facilities for IABP available round the clock
- Provisions for temporary and permanent pacemaker implantation
- Facility for primary angioplasty round the clock
- The unit also contains isolated cabins with negative pressure gradient for infected patients
